Ayuesh Agarwal (b.1991) is a painter inspired by nature and the human spirit, focusing on storytelling through realistic figures in various mediums.

Inspired by visual art in movies and games, his artistic journey began when he studied at various academies and graduated from the Barcelona Academy of Art in 2019.

For him, painting is a means of interpreting the world. Some artworks draw from personal memories, while others are inspired by moments observed while travelling or simply watching life unfold. He captures fleeting moments that hint at something deeper without revealing it completely. He explains, “A painting becomes more compelling when it includes mystery or ambiguity.”

In his process, he spends a considerable amount of time sketching, experimenting with compositions, and trying different expressions, symbols, and techniques to see how the story might evolve. Every brushstroke becomes a small part of the narrative. It’s a process of ongoing discovery, and that’s what keeps him returning to the canvas.

Based in Hyderabad, his work is exhibited globally and held in collections such as MEAM-Barcelona and the Art Renewal Center, NY. He has received various awards, including a Gold Medal from the Art Society of India in 2021 and a Certificate of Excellence from the Portrait Society of America in 2020. His piece, "Red Bench," is chosen for the Lunar Codex project headed for the Moon.

Community being critical, he founded the Samsara Academy of Art in 2019 to promote classical art methods as a valuable tool and help others reach their artistic goals.
